Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

A lot of people who live in what would be deemed as "snow country" see snow and groan with dismay. Many of them hate the snow. After all, snow creates a lot of work. Driveway shoveling being just the (very large) tip of an even larger iceberg.

Then there's people like me.

I love snow. I absolutely, unequivocally -love- snow.

I'm not a fan of the cold and the ice, the dangerous driving or the extra work. I just love the way it looks. I love the way it blankets the world and creates, if just for a short time, an impression of peace, tranquility and flawless perfection.

I love how it muffles the world, quiets the noise; how it changes everything into a world of black and white.

And this is why I love this photograph by Jennifer Squires Ross. It brings all of that to life in a beautiful piece of art you can enjoy year round or use to decorate on a seasonal theme.

Jennifer has been a professional photographer since 1996 and her shop is filled with beautiful modern fine art photographs of flowers, snowy scenes, scapes, and much more.

Great photo! Like you i LOVE LOVE the snow. Partly is because I love in a SUNNY country where it NEVER snows. *sulk*. So whenever I get the chance to travel, I tend to pick a place that has snow and travel during winter :)

God Bless

We have something in common. I live in Sandpoint, ID and usually get a boat load of snow. And, you're right, there's a cohesive, exasperated sigh when this little town realizes winter has arrived. Not me...I get giddy and excited. I even enjoy the ice patterns on the lake. Driving in it is another story...really enjoyed your post. Thank you.

I don't live in a 'snowy' area, but I agree with you, it's just absolutely beautiful when it blankets everything!! Beautiful photo!
