Breathtaking Contemporary Artwork, Beautiful Style

I really, really LOVE it when an artist that specializes in prints, paintings and other wall art really goes into showing you how spectacular their work can look in use.

And when you find someone who does it as well as today's artist does? It makes it nearly impossible for me to leave their shop. In fact, I've spent literally hours in today's shop.

Moon Angel Art is filled with beautiful Fine Art Giclee photography paper and canvas prints for home decor, and when you step into her shop to look around, I guarantee you won't be sorry. This shop contains some of the most spectacular nature photography I've ever seen.

The shop also contains a variety of Scrabble tile collage sheets for jewelry making, satin lustre greetings cards on heavy cardstock, photo pendants, 100% Cotton Canvases, art boxes and acrylic perspex prints. Which means there's something for just about everyone! Me personally? I'm a big fan of so many of the works there that I could probably cover ever inch of space on my walls and ceiling and still not have enough!

Naomi, the artist behind all of these beautiful pieces, is a passionate artist, digital artist and photographer inspired by the human form, philosophy, nature, free will and color. Her passion and inspiration shows in every piece in her shop so don't miss out on taking the tour!

Accssories you just wont want to do without...

Oh yeah, I'm in love. Really. I am.

I finally found a shop that fits both sides of a very complicated personality, and so now? I'm in love.

Sophia Pip is the artist behind the shop in question, and you really have to see her work to believe it.

When I first discovered this shop, it was through the bracelet posted here on the right. I love the whole combination of elegance and danger in this bracelet and it's one of those pieces that just strikes your fancy right away and you don't want to do without.

Then... I followed the link and stepped into her shop and my "I WANT THAT" radar exploded!

Sophia Pip has a beautiful collection of jewelry in her shop and the two styles between cutting edge and elegance don't combat but have been blended into a unique style of casual elegance into her designs that's all her own and absolutely irresistible.

Whether you like sterling Silver, copper, brass or 14K GF, you're sure to find something you like in this shop. She uses high quality and/or unusual gemstones, organically shaped seaglass, high lustre baroque pearls, vintage beads and handcrafted ceramic pieces for accents in much of her work, but simplicity is always the theme. And, she makes everything from the basics to the more involved, creating a wide variety that keeps things interesting in her shop!

Lazy Sunny Mornings

Today, I woke up feeling peaceful and relaxed and I'd forgotten to close my window blinds the night before. What this meant, is that I had a dapple of spring sunlight shimmering through my windows and a little (much welcome) added warmth to go with it.

When I rolled over to look at the
window, I was captivated by the dance of light on the window panes and the flicker and shimmer of sunlight through the leaves of the tree outside. The sunshine made the leaves glow a bright and vibrant green, which spoke to me on a base level about spring growth and new life.

Today's feature artist has a piece in her shop that fits so well into this experience, and you can see it featured right here in this post!

Poppy Glass is a small glass art shop in Etsy that has a beautiful collection of stained glass artwork contained within. Light catchers, lawn ornaments and other beautiful accessories for both yourself and your home are on display, and all the stained glass bits are created and soldered in the dedicated traditions of long ago.

Kay, the talented artist behind Poppy Glass, makes some truly unique and beautiful pieces so be sure to stop by and check her out! You won't want to miss this beautiful shop.

Pin-Up Glam to Groovy Kitch - Sexy Vintage Finds

Psssst! Hey... did you hear those crickets?!?

Yes, I've been neglectful of the blog the last few days. It's been tax time around here, you see, and we've been busy visiting a tax consultant (three days in a row, in fact). All other responsibilities had to be put on hold while we catered to the whims, desires and demands of the tax goddess, Terry, who is really a miracle worker of the greatest sense. (After all, I might just be able to pay off 1/2 our credit card bill with this return... YAY!)

That said and all apologies given... I'd like to introduce you to today's wonderful handmade shop!

Empress Jade Vintage is an absolutely wonderful shop I came across the other day, and one you really won't want to miss. Especially if, like me, you really have a great appreciation for the fashion styles of decades gone by.

They carry a variety of cute, indie, fashionable vintage clothing from party and day dresses to accessories as well as tons of fabulous vintage lingerie.

Whether you're a fan of the Bombshell 50s style, Mad Men 60s look, Rich Hippie & Disco 70s styles or the 80s New Wave trends, you're not going to be disappointed in this shop. They have the classics that made each decade unique and photographs that really show off their merchandise well.

Empress Jade sells authentic vintage women's fashions and almost never have more than one of the same item. More often than not, her pieces are one of a kind, so once they are sold they are gone forever. So with that in mind, don't miss out! Visit and take a look around and if you like what you see, be sure to check back for new OOAK vintage items because the shop is updated regularly!

Baby-Safe Organic Alternatives

In a grandparent's quest to find the perfect gift for their first grandchild, the Hudson Block Co. was born. This craftsman and teacher duo were searching for a gift that was not just safe and educational, but also natural and environmentally-friendly.

That was where the inspiration for
creating classic wooden building blocks came from. Now, after their day jobs they create these beautiful blocks not just for their own family of grandchildren, but for others to enjoy as well!

Each and every block is made from Missouri maple. They're naturally beautiful and free of paint and stain, sanded satiny smooth for curious mouths and tender little hands to safely play with without the concern for unhealthy chemicals and sharp edges.

Perfect for anyone who loves to choose items for their baby and their home that are simple, natural, organic this is a shop that you won't want to miss out on. Not only are they beautiful toys for tots and babies, but spur a wonderfully interesting amount of ideas for home decor as well!
