Handmade Totes, Purses, Kindle Covers and more

CMarie on ArtfireYou know, I've been thinking about getting myself a Kindle for a while. I'm an avid reader and I'm always carrying around a book with me... and some of them can become quite heavy.

(If you don't know what a Kindle is, it's a little electronic device about the size of a steno tablet that stores books inside of it. It's rather light weight and very convenient to carry around as an alternative to carrying stacks of books.)

I haven't bought one, though, primarily because I'm a klutz. My iPod can attest to this for although it's still functioning, it looks like it went through a world war and it's barely scraping by.

Now. I have a case for my iPod, but for some reason I never considered that I could get one for a Kindle too until today's feature shop contacted me asking for a feature!

CMarie on ArtfireCMarie on Artfire is a little shop filled with wonderful things and included in that list is a collection of Kindle covers perfect for protecting these wonderful little devices from scratches and dings.

The shop also carries a wide variety of handmade shoulder purses, totes, cross body bags, clutches, clutch purses and more!

There are vibrant colors as well as wear-anywhere classic shades and the workmanship is beautiful! You can also find items such as eyeglass sleeves for protecting your eyewear and sunglasses, billfold wallets and other useful accessories.

The bags are primarily made from cotton prints, canvas and various suiting fabrics and are all interfaced and fully lined for structure and durability.

The prints and fabrics are beautiful as well!

Stop by and check out this wonderful shop by Christian Marie of New Orleans. You won't be disappointed!

Handmade Designer Purses, Clutches and More - Arm Candy For You

Arm Candy For You on EtsyArm Candy for You on Etsy is a wonderful shop that's ran by a talented artisan located in India. The artist has a number of of interests which include sewing, needle work, crochet, knitting, cooking and many more and her talent glows in this shop that's filled with a wide variety of beautiful purses, handbags, clutches and totes in a myriad of styles you're sure to love.

I personally fell for the purse pictured here in this post. In fact, I wish she had it in a rich, earthy brown because I think I might have had to snatch it up when I saw it if she did!

Also, ArmCandyforYou on Etsy doesn't repeat the same pattern in the same color twice, so if you buy anything from their shop you're guaranteed to be only one in the entire world to own it! You also have the option of requesting different colors, fabrics, sizes, straps, the addition of pockets and more!

A New, Positive Turn on an Old Theme

"For over 50 years we've had the peace sign that we all know. Unfortunately, the symbol with the "arms" facing down, represents death and despair.

We've taken the symbol and simply turned it around. Now the arms are raised up in hope, joy and positive energy.

Rather than anti-war, it's pro-peace. It may seem like a small change, but as you know, it's always better to wish for what you want, rather than what you don't want. Only a positive intent achieves a positive result."

This is the introduction on the "Turn Peace Around" Etsy shop's front page, an it says it better than I ever could! I love the idea behind this shop, and I love the pieces they have for sale there too! They currently carry hemp jewelry, beautiful hand-painted totes and magnets and have plans to offer much more in the future as well.

I personally have my eye on one of their totes, and if you agree with their message and like to shop green, I can't think of a better bag for the cause so you should check them out too!
