Today I have the honor of introducing you to one of the very first shops I ever visited on Etsy and I have to say that the shop definitely left a positive and lasting impression with me.
Although there are plenty of elegant shops and artisan designs on Etsy to browse through, Tissage on Etsy is the first and only shop that comes to mind when I have been asked to recommend a shop that I feel is "The Embodiment of Elegance". I can find more, of course, but when I have to answer off the top of my head this is always the seller that comes to mind and that I refer people to first.
Tissage on Etsy is filled with beautiful handcrafted jewelry, hats, bags and scarves with a touch of vintage style and a pinch of modern romance incorporated into each piece.
Tory, the artist behind all of 
these elegant works, is well rounded with a veritable cornucopia of talents at her disposal and studies scattered through her past. This includes studying painting in France, weaving in Italy and sculpture in college.
There are so many gorgeous pieces in this shop that I had a hard time picking just two to feature for this post! If you're looking for something elegant, whether for a special occasion, everyday wear or a gift, you're going to want to take a browse in this shop.

Altered art jewelry and vintage styles abound in the shop that I'm proud to present to you as today's feature! I fell in love with a number of pieces in this shop the moment I saw them, and I've been continuously impressed with the work I see there every time I stop by to visit.
For the Cross Jewelry is a wonderful shop on Etsy ran by Terri, an extremely talented jewelry designer who loves to base her creations on vintage styles and the beauty of nature.
Terri even has a piece that's soon to be featured on the popular TV series "Warehouse 13" and the attention is well deserved! So head on over to For the Cross Jewelry and take a look! I'm a sucker for Retro Chic. I can't help it, I love the designs and patterns and just... well, I just love it all. My mother sometimes wondered if I wasn't born in the wrong generation, because my tastes have always wandered towards the styles and fashions of old rather than new.
That's probably why I'm so intrigued by today's 
shop. I absolutely hate those "barbecue" style aprons they sell in today's market. I just don't like that style and it's just yuck to me.
Today's shop specializes in aprons, but not that newer style you see every grill slinger from here to hell and back wearing. Instead, the shop specializes in Retro Chic styles of bygone era and I LOVE them for it! Do you have any idea how long I've been searching for someone selling these style of aprons? Probably not, but trust me, it's been a very long and arduous search.
Sugar Pie Chic is filled with these beautiful pieces.
And, while design is important, quality also matters to the owner of this wonderful shop. All of her aprons are made from 100% cotton designer fabric and are made to last with double-stitching on stress points and quality materials that make these aprons not only pretty but durable and made for work.

I love signage, I'm not sure why but I can spend hours in a store browsing through all those little kitch and cute signs with the different sayings and designs.
In fact, I did just that in today's feature shop.
Signs By Diane is filled with beautiful "shabby" design signs for weddings, cottage style, home decor or business signage.
Personalized and custom signs are a specialty, in fact, and Diane loves creating handmade handcrafted wooden shabby chic signs and designs for every occasion or use you're sure to want them for.
You can choose your colors, phrases and even the style of fonts, too. She loves working with brides, especially, and is contact friendly as well as extremely flexible to work with.
I'm actually considering commissioning her for a bit of signage myself, because I've been searching for a specific saying on a little sign for quite some time without success and her items are so beautiful that I'm sure she could do the piece perfectly for me! In fact, I'm positive of it. I'd have to say that Somerset Home magazine would agree too (if you haven't picked up this magazine before, you really should)... she's being featured with them in August!
Diane's signs are all handcrafted and cover several styles from shabby cottage chic, Paris apartment, beach cottage and vintage. Although her signs are new, she takes great deal of care to give them that old vintage look that you're sure to love.
